  1. When in tip-top condition the Oxford and Cowley have beautifully responsive rack and pinion steering, and the suspension is perfectly adequate with telescopic shock absorbers and torsion bars.
  2. It will take a day to disassemble both front sides, clean and paint the components, replace all the bushes and reassemble.
  3. Part No. 25 above is made from hardened steel and it can wear too. A replacement can easily be made by chopping off the end of a gudgeon pin from a Datsun engine! See your friendly engine reconditioners.
  4. The bushes for the telescopic shock absorbers haven't been shown above.
